Thank you for taking the time to look through my portfolio!

The Carlyle Club
In this section, you will be able to review samples of my work that I produced for The Carlyle Club in Alexandria, Virginia.

In 2018, I served as the Marketing and Business Development Specialist for six months. In this role, I was able to use my marketing and communication knowledge to redesign the company's marketing material. I was able to give the company a newly revamped brand image that gave The Carlyle Club a more modernized and chic feeling. My goal was to be able to appeal to a younger demographic and attract this younger crowd to become regular customers of the venue.

To do this, I redesigned the venue's menus, brochures, flyers, newsletters and posters. I worked to make all of the marketing material uniform in design.

In this section, you will find the brochures that I redesigned for the company, flyers, posters, advertisements and more.

Zen West
In 2018, I worked with a local Tex-Mex restaurant and bar in Baltimore, Maryland. The name of this restaurant is Zen West, and it is extremely popular among Loyola students. Known for its eccentric 1960s-meets-Route 66 interior, the restaurant is an iconic staple of North Baltimore.

For five months, I worked with the restaurant owner and a Loyola marketing professor to devise a strategic marketing plan for Zen West. My overall goal was to drive sales by raising awareness about the venue's unique and special offerings.

In this section, I have attached the final presentation of my marketing pitch. I delivered this pitch to the owner of the venue, and he has since applied some of the strategies I suggested to help boost sales and attract new customers.

U.S. General Services Administration: Government Outreach & Marketing
Social Media Content & Annual Report
Between May 2019 and August 2020, I served as the Outreach Intern within the Office of Technology Transformation Services (TTS) at GSA. In this role, I was able to use various marketing and communication tactics to build the TTS brand. Each month, I interviewed members of the executive leadership team to gain content for our monthly internal office newsletter. In addition, I reviewed press releases, media impressions and requests from journalists.
I also assisted in creating strategic communications plans for TTS and for the business units within the office. Additionally, I co-managed official government social media pages and blogs. Specifically, I managed the @18F, @PIFgov and @GSA_TTS official Twitter accounts, as well as the White House Presidential Innovation Fellows LinkedIn page. Through my social media efforts, I was able to achieve office-wide goals by strengthening the office's brand and raising awareness about new events, policies and services that TTS offers to the American public.

Finally, what I perceived to be my big accomplishment in my role was the creation of the TTS annual report. Over the course of four months, I worked directly with the Outreach Director to produce a 130-page annual report showcasing project highlights and achievements that occurred in our office during the 2019 fiscal year.

Angry Orchard
During the fall 2019 semester, I took at Strategic Marketing course at Loyola. This course required each student to select a company and create a strategic marketing plan for whichever company he or she selected. I picked Angry Orchard as my company.

This project required me to perform a situational (SWOT) analysis and market analysis on the company. I reviewed competitors, gathered market share information and analyzed recent sales data from the 2019 fiscal/tax year. I researched potential areas of weakness in Angry Orchard's current marketing plans. After discovering a key weakness, I developed an opportunity for the company to increase sales and gain a larger market share percentage.

In this section, you will find my comprehensive presentation, report and recommendations for Angry Orchard, as well as prototype packaging.

The Philemon Ministry
During the Spring 2020 semester, I served as the Team Lead/Account Executive for my PR Capstone Project. My team (Hounding Hearts PR) and I partnered with The Philemon Ministry in Baltimore to raise awareness in the community about the nonprofit organization.
The Philemon Ministry houses 15 recently incarcerated men at the ministry’s house and assists over 300 men and their families as they navigate life after prison. As the ministry is a nonprofit organization, it relies upon the donations of generous donors to continue its mission.

The Philemon Ministry wishes to achieve increased exposure throughout the next 12 weeks. My team and I will be accomplishing these goals through a variety of social media, fundraising and other traditional public relations tactics. In this section, I will be posting several pieces of PR and marketing writing that I have produced, as well as posting updates about our deliverables and success with our partnership.

Solar Suitcase
During the fall 2017 semester at Loyola, I took an upper-level communication course called: "Writing for Public Relations". This course was one of the most beneficial classes I took during my college career.

Each student was asked to create their own "million-dollar company" and produce an entire public relations campaign for that imaginary company. I created a company called "Solar Suitcase". This company produced suitcases with solar panels on the sides of the luggage and different USB ports on top to allow for convenient charging while in the midst of traveling.

For this company, I created several pieces of public relations materials. In this section, you will find a PDF containing a business memo, prospectus, crisis communication plan, press release and more. Enjoy!

About Me
I was born and raised in Alexandria, Va. After volunteering for a number of nonprofits as a fundraising and events coordinator in high school, I chose to attend Loyola University Maryland because of the university’s focus on service for others. I graduated in May 2020 with a degree in communication with a specialization
in public relations and advertising and a marketing minor.
I have spent the past five years working in the fields of communication, public relations and marketing. In 2017, I spearheaded a fundraising campaign at the ALIVE! House in Alexandria,
where I raised over $3,000 for children’s school supplies.
In 2018, I served as the business development and marketing specialist at The Carlyle Club, a family-owned events venue in my hometown. There, I led a social media campaign on Facebook and Instagram for over 20 new events and special offerings, which brought in additional revenue for the business.
Most recently, I have been working as an outreach and marketing project manager at the U.S. General Services Administration in Washington, D.C. Aside from my courses and work experience, I am a member of Loyola’s chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Association’s official honor society, and I am an English teacher at the Esperanza Center in Baltimore, where I am able to use my communication skills to help Marylanders
become confident in their ability to speak English.

After graduating from Loyola, I decided to apply to graduate school to continue strengthening my marketing and communication skillset. I have been attending Georgetown University since Fall 2020. There, I have been pursuing a Master of Professional Studies in Integrated Marketing Communication while working full-time for the government.
With graduation rapidly approaching, I'm thrilled to be continuing my academic journey, and I am looking forward to connecting soon!
